Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that utilizes a chair to sit in, or as a support while standing.  Chair yoga is aimed at increasing flexibility, strength and improving balance.  Regular participation in these activities can  help reduce risk of falls, increase mental clarity,  and alleviate stress and anxiety.

Chair Yoga is a good stepping stone for those  who would like to participate in yoga mat-based classes in the future.  Anyone can do chair yoga!  Sherry will lead you through gentle yoga poses, sitting in or standing next to the chair, and modify the poses as needed depending on your ability.  

Come to class in comfortable clothes that you can move freely in.  No need for special yoga clothes.  Bring water to keep hydrated. A chair will be provided. 

Shield Bearer


Shield Bearer provides individual, family, and couple counseling. Through our mission for community outreach, we provide facility use for Shield Bearer.  For more information about Shield Bearer or to make an appointment, please visit their website shieldbearer.org.
